5 Disadvantages of Owning a Dog

Since you guys enjoyed my post about 5 Advantages of Owning a Dog I thought I would do the opposite. This is my personal experience. I love my little furry ball and I am not trying to discourage people from getting a doggie. But, since not everything is perfect I thought I would share in a fun way 5 disadvantages of having a dog.

I’ve heard a lot of people saying that having a dog can be pretty cheap. ” They just need a corner to sleep and some food”. While this is partially true and having a pet doesn’t have to be overly expensive dogs are living organisms. They need drugs, doctors and checkups. Anything else your dog needs you can find cheap alternatives but when it comes to health things are tricky. You might never need a vet but you also might have to spend a lot more than you anticipated. My advice is to put some money aside each month for your dog’s medical expenses if they need them in the future.

As we all know dogs need company, walks and generally time. A busy lifestyle in addition to caring for a dog can be pretty tiring.

Dogs generally are pretty attached to their owners. Although, each dog is different usually your dog will get pretty attached to you. This means that your alone time will be a lot less from now on.

Have you ever thought what it would be like if you were drowning in hair? Get ready to find out! Dogs shed. A lot. Chances are you will be buying a new vacuum soon enough.

From the moment I got my baby my worst fear is the day I’ll lose her. If nothing happens to me I know that I will probably be okay to see my dog go. When you spend so much time with a being you are going to be deeply hurt when they’re gone.

All in all, dogs are great but getting one is not an easy decision and there are no take backs. So if you decide to get a dog it will be for life.

Delilah Cosmetics-Review

Are you on the lookout for new beauty brands? If so Delilah Cosmetics is a great place to start! I have so many great things to say about this brand.

First of all, every product is dermatologically tested and paraben free. I wanted to mention this first because when looking at new brands safety is always my first concern. In addition to that I noticed that they also have vegan products. I do not know if all of their products are but for some products it is clearly stated. ( Just check the description and ingredients before buying) Another point goes to Delilah for packaging. I love the silver monochromatic look with touches of color. I think the packaging is pretty unique in relation to what is out right now. Generally, Delilah carries very well thought, solid products that cater to everyone.

Time Frame Future Resist Foundation

I really enjoyed this foundation for two reasons. Firstly, even though it has good coverage (medium) it is so lightweight and glides on the skin smoothly. It also contains Vitamin E and SPF 20 that will protect your skin from environmental damages. It is buildable and long wearing.

Ps. Don’t be fooled by the tube it comes with a pump! (Sneaky)

Farewell Cream Concealer

Due to its peachy undertones this concealer cancels out dark circles while providing coverage. It’s unbelievably creamy for a stick and goes on like a dream. (Keep in mind this comes from a liquid concealer kind of gal)

Brow Line Retractable Eye Brow Pencil with Brush

I am in love! I am so bad at doing my brows. This brow pencil is firm which really helps me not to go overboard. It comes with a brow brush that is equally great.

Colour Intense Cream Lipstick

The lipsticks I have (Floozy, Flirt) are amazingly creamy. They glide on the lips and are really moisturizing. In addition to that the color selection is great. Don’t expect the same long wear as matte lipsticks but for their creamy formula they are really long wearing.

All in all, I am loving Delilah products. They are really well made and thought through. ( No one is paying me to say good stuff unfortunately 😂 ) I genuinely love this brand and I believe more brands should strive to become like that.

What do you guys think about Delilah cosmetics? Have you tried any of their products? Let me know in the comments below!

Time to spread your wings

So tomorrow I leave my home behind. I have to leave my doggo behind, my room, my family and friends, my country, but most of all, I have to leave my comfort and safe place behind. Starting tomorrow I embark on a whole new chapter and journey of my life where I’ll be off to a whole different place where I’ll be starting college.

I am feeling all kinds of emotions right now. Sad, excited, happy, overwhelmed, chaotic (the state my room’s currently in and also my mind)… but this time I definitely don’t have a feeling of uncertainty. I do know that when I arrive I will be feeling way out of my place and scared, but that is part of the challenge. That’s the whole thing of going on with your life after school, after living under your parents roof for many years and also having them there to help you with whatever and whenever.

In the midst of all the packing and getting everything ready before I leave, I knew that I had to write this post and just share with you how I am feeling. Maybe there’s some of you who reads this that might be going through the same thing right now.

Monday morning when I woke up, I felt this extreme nervous feeling in my stomach and everything starting feeling like it’s a reality. I think what I am most nervous about currently is being on my own. My family and home will be thousands of kilometers away from me, in a different country. I have to meet new people and make new friends and do new things. And I am excited for that, but I also feel very nervous, because most of the things around me will be “unknown”.

Maybe I am feeling stressed about things that I shouldn’t have to be worried about, maybe my biggest stress will end up being the amount of work I’ll have, cause I probably will be very busy. So I am going to apologize in advance if you guys might not see a blog post from me for the first few weeks.

Like I said in my previous post about my blogging goals for this year, I do want to post more regularly and consistently, but I am also aware that I will be very busy, that’s why my planning will have to be spot on. I know that the first month or so of college will probably be all over the place, so until I have settled and gotten more organized, I will get back into the blogging game.

Oh and I will also be able to post more beauty related things this year, because I will have more access to beauty items and all that jazz. I am after all going to learn to become a master at makeup and to turn people into zombies, fairies – whatever they desire haha

I can’t believe today is my last day here in my comfy, cozy home. I am writing this, sitting in my room that looks like a hurricane has hit it, with my sweet doggo laying beside me – I am going to miss her so much.

But, it is time for me to step out of my comfort zone and spread my wings and learn to fly on my own.

Thanks for taking the time to read – hope you liked it!

Travel Wishlist – Let’s go to Iceland

These past few days I have just gotten this urge to travel to Iceland, for some reason? I don’t know what it is, but there’s just something about this breathtaking country that is calling my name and do I seriously wish I can just book a ticket right now and go explore the beautiful “Land of Fire and Ice”. Doesn’t that sound epic?

You’d think because it’s called Iceland that there would be plenty of ice everywhere, but that’s not entirely the case, in fact, Greenland is very icy and Iceland is very green. Iceland has the most vast landscapes that just are so simplified and wild and I think that is what completely draws me in. Oh and also don’t forget how interesting this country is – you might be wondering why it’s known as “The Land of Fire and Ice” and also the land of light and darkness?

Well, Iceland has some of the world’s largest active volcanoes and also some of the largest glaciers in all of Europe. In summertime you definitely won’t have a vitamin D deficiency, cause you get to have nearly 24 hours of sunshine, but you better soak it up because when the cold, winter days come, you’ll only get a few hours of sunlight.

How stunning is this photograph of British photograher, James Appleton – the northern lights and an erupted volcano in one photo?!

I have heard a few times that Iceland is one of the happiest countries in the world! That’s probably because of their good living quality and they’re also very generous people – more reasons why I want to travel there! Did you know that the Icelandic language is actually one of the least changed languages of the Nordic countries and they try their best to keep it that way! That’s pretty awesome.

I just can’t get over how unbelievably, breathtakingly BEAUTIFUL this country is!!!

If I were ever to visit Iceland, I’d definitely want to visit and explore the capital, Reykjavík, see the classical Blue Lagoon and of course, the most magical and breathtaking of them all, the Northern Lights.

This country has sooo much more interesting facts and I wish I can type it all for you guys, but it really is a lot! But, if you want to know more about this amazing country, go to the link to read 25 facts about Iceland.

Iceland reminds me so much of the ancient times and it really is still so “ancient” if I can put it that way. The fact that they preserve their language and traditions, they have a very organic diet and way of life and I respect them for that. Despite the fact that so many countries around the world have been influenced so much by the new modern age in terms of language, traditions and just the general way of life, Iceland has developed into a country with a high quality lifestyle for entirety of the country, without having to throw away their original/ancestral language, traditions and general lifestyle. And I just love that.

Don’t you think this looks like the perfect spot to set up a camp?

Is anyone going to Iceland soon? Cause seriously. I NEED TO GO THERE.

Thank you for reading,

Have you ever been to Iceland and what was your experience? Tell me in the comments!

#LiftYourCommunityWithNaya challenge! 5 GREEK Instagramers I love.

Hello guys. As my last post of 2017 I wanted to do something that was fun but would also lift up my community. Thus, I decided to do a roundup of the 5 Instagramers I love from my beautiful country Greece. I think that this is a nice idea not only because people from my own community can gain more well deserved exposure but also you guys get to find out great Greek Instagramers that you probably would not come across otherwise.

I hope that you will enjoy it and do the same for your local Instagramers. So here they are!

Daphnia Neofytou

Not only Instagram goals but also really helpful. She provides great (and realistic)  styling tips. Another unique feature of her account is ”Instagram Telemarketing” where she uses her stories to share the beautiful packages she receives.

I Forgot My Crown

In addition to her never ending supply of beauty products in her profile you can find everyday moments that usually include her cute dog  Vida. (I guess she is the real celebrity in the family )

Morfoula Zyga

Her Instagram gives me all the vintage vibes. The earthly tones, the vintage filters and an eye for classic beauty make her account incredibly unique.

Pinelopi Apostolelis

A brand ambassador that shares with us everyday new products worth trying. Scrolling through her feed you will find that she loves  minimalistic and bright photos that showcase beautifully the new products she gets to try.

Vasiliki Karanzogianni

Last but by no means least is Vasiliki. She produces quality content while taking us along in her life as a Beauty Editor. Traveling, having fun and of course beauty is just some of the stuff you will find at her profile.

All in all, they are all amazing Instagramers who definitely deserve a follow.

Will you be doing this challenge with me? If so tag me on Instagram along with the hashtag #LiftYourCommunitywithNaya

Hope you have a happy New Year ✨

Greatest purchase of the year? Estée Lauder Color Portfolio Review

I just bought the Estée Lauder 2017 color portfolio for 60 euros. For that price I got 30 eyeshadows, 6 lipsticks, 2 blushes, 2 highlighters and 2 bronzers. This translates to less than 2 euros for each individual pan which is a bargain considering it still is Estée Lauder.

The eyeshadows are all gorgeous, blendable and the selection is great from matte to simmer and from nudes to darks.

The lipsticks are also pigmented and lightweight and fade out to a nice stain.

The bronzers are really creamy and natural.

The only things that are okay but not great are the two highlighters and the two blushes. They are not by any means bad but not too pigmented and buildable. They are quite nice for a natural look but definitely not great for a night out. Other than that the palette at this price is a huge bargain and if you find it anywhere I would definitely recommend it.

PS. Not the most sturdy packaging but it gets the job done.

What do you guys think about this palette? Let me know in the comments below.

A thoughtful Christmas gift with Moonglow

As Holidays are quickly approaching it is time for us to go gift shopping. I personally find it extremely hard to find good gifts for people I love. So when I came across Moonglow I was relieved.

Moonglow offers great quality, handmade, custom jewelry that glow in the dark!! ( Everything you need for an amazing gift)

The philosophy behind Moonglow is that every moment has a moon. Moonglow takes the moon from your special day and brings it into your hands in the form of jewelry.

Check out Moonglow on Instagram!

You just choose the date and the type of jewelry you want and Moonglow does the rest. You can choose between bangles, necklaces, earrings and of course there is a men’s section.

It comes in a beautiful box equipped with a card stating the date of your moon and what the particular moon means.

I personally loved them so much I will be buying a lot more to give to good friends and family this Christmas.
