Charlotte Tilbury Wonder Glow – Review

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

Today I will be talking about a product I fell in love with. When I received it I had no idea it even existed and I hadn’t realized how much I needed it.

What is it?

According to the website it’s a “Light-reflecting face primer”.

What does it do?

It’s core of fluorescent light diffuser will capture light to illuminate the skin. It will smooth over wrinkles and its anti-aging properties will stimulate collagen, enhancing skin elasticity.

The packaging.

Charlotte Tilbury’s packaging is gorgeous and this is not any different. It has a clear body embellished with the classic Charlotte Tilbury reddish brown and coppery rose gold that is also on the lid.

The formula.

As far as the formula is concerned it is really hydrating and smooth. But it is really sheer so do not expect any “makeup like” coverage.

How to use it?

  1. First a foremost as a primer underneath your foundation. I personally don’t use it as a primer just because it is really subtle and I feel foundation covers it’s gorgeous shine.
  2. As a foundation topper. (My personal favorite.) Having combination to oily skin I always go for matte foundations thus I cannot achieve the on-trend dewy look  that all of the makeup world is raving about. But now with the Wonderglow I can get the brightness back on my skin without the oiliness of a non-matte foundation. It’s the best of both worlds really.
  3. On its own for your no makeup days to give a simple glow. But because as I mentioned it doesn’t provide any coverage you will probably end up throwing a BB cream in the mix.

Would I recommend it?

Yes! For someone who wishes to achieve a dewy everyday look. Especially for older ages when the skin loses some of its brightness, elasticity and moisture it is a must.
