Why Paper Communication Matters More with Basic Invite

We live at an era where communication is for the most part carried out online. Although the benefits of instant messaging are obvious sometimes a letter or a card may actually be a better idea.  Sending a wedding invitation, or a gorgeous rose gold foiled card (or just gold, or even silver) with a sweet picture and a sincere message is going to mean so much more to the receiver than a blank email. And honestly? I love the process of opening my laptop and going through the over 400 Christmas card and holiday card designs Basic Invite offers. Choosing from almost an unlimited list of colors to find out which works best and create combinations that match my aesthetic. Mixing and matching over 180 different color options and instantly preview them until I get it just right. Finding the photo that me, my boyfriend and my dog ( because let’s face it she’s part of the family) all look cute simultaneously. And then I get to choose from over 40 colored envelopes that match the color of the card? That’s genius.

But the thing that sets apart Basic Invite for me is the fact that Basic Invite is one of the few websites that gives customers the ability to order a printed sample of their actual invitation so they can see exactly how it will print as well as feel the paper quality before they  have to place their final order. That means that you can see the product before placing a huge costly order only to realise you wanted something different. (Just make sure to plan ahead)

Last because Basic Invite wants to make our life easier it provides an Address Capturing Service that allows customers to simply share a link on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or any other form of social media to request their friends and family’s addresses which will be stored in the customer’s account and can then be selected during the design process. Yes please. Nobody has time to ask everyone individually for their address.

Plus right now Basic Invite is offering 30% off with the coupon code: holi30 and recipient address printing at no cost on all Christmas card orders.

  1. Every year I send out Christmas cards…Love the tradition of doing so every year and really look forward to it…
I love looking over the boxed ones and picking out the right ones…I have 3 boxes of random ones from years past that I keep to add to the collection lol…I have a list so I know what ones got sent to lol so I don’t send the same card as last year…
We have never had any with our pictures on them…maybe soon we will try that out…
I love getting an actual card in the regular mail than getting one online…
Have you notice a decline of paper Christmas cards???… or is it just me???…
    Great post!!!

My mom has done passed just a lil over 7 years and I still have all her notes and cards that she would give me… We have a habit of writing lil notes to each other like dad and my better half …just a simple note to say love you or hang in there…lol but we hide them so they just randomly find them…The same goes for my dad I have every note he has ever written me and cards…
Lil off topic but I hate how they rush the holidays …we haven’t even had Halloween and I seen a Christmas commercial and Thanksgiving stuff out already!!!… I hate it!!!… I like to enjoy each and every holiday at one time and the length of the month …

      • Sorry for your mom. These memories are so important and these cards we throw in a drawer today will be so important in the future when the people who sent them are no longer with us. That is when we realize their importance. On a more cheerful note we don’t really celebrate Halloween where I am from (unfortunately) so I can’t relate but I get what you mean.
