A scent to remember

I love the idea of people smelling a particular smell and immediately connecting it to me. With a billion of amazing fragrances in the market you could wear a different one every day for your whole life. It is tempting to say the least. But it’s really amazing to think my friends, my family, my boyfriend are somewhere smelling a girl wearing the same cologne and instantly think about me. I love walking out of a room knowing that whoever walks in next will know I was there. I love when my boyfriend says I miss your smell I know exactly what he talks about. It took me years to find a smell that I loved and suited me, my character and I what I wanted to show the world. And I found it. That smell for me is Dior Addict.

Dior Addict Eau de Parfum unleashes fresh and captivating top notes that blend Mandarin Leaf with Tunisian Orange Blossom.

Intense and vibrant, it reveals a powerful heart of Jasmine Sambac Absolute that blossoms with soft femininity and sensuality. The base unfurls in the deep and exquisite warmth of Bourbon Vanilla.

A soft and seductive trail tinged with light.

Although it is the perfect smell for me I unfortunately realized that although amazing for the colder months it was to heavy for Greece’s hot summers. So I had to make a compromise. I decided to wear my favorite perfume for as long as it’s cold outside and switch it when the weather starts to get warmer. So I went in search again for the perfect summer scent. I chose Armani Code,  a fresh, sexy, feminine blend of zesty blood orange, ginger, and pear sorbet softened with hints of sambac jasmine, orange blossom, and lavender honey, warmed with precious woods and vanilla.

There is definitely a theme! Everyone is different some people have a signature scent and some don’t. Either way check these two out. You might fall in love like I did or maybe you’ll have to keep searching a bit longer. Your perfect scent is out there.

What is your favorite scent? Let me know in the comments below. Maybe you’ll be the reason I’ll decide to switch things up!!!

  1. Interesting take on perfume! 😀 I’ve always thought I might start wearing one and make it my signature scent but I just never got to it.

Also, Greek summers! As a curious Greek I definitely need to ask, where have you been to?

  2. i’ve written down those two perfumes you mentioned and will check them out. at The Rocks Sunday markets in Sydney yesterday, i bought a ‘natural perfume’, no chemical additives, from Amacyn Sydney. the name of my new perfume is ‘I Am Music’. i chose it because it had the highest amount of sandalwood, compared to the other perfumes in the range. am still deciding if it’s ‘the one’ though.

    • With so many alternatives it’s really hard because you don’t know where to start. For example I really like vanilla scents so I went online and checked perfumes that had vanilla in them. I wrote them down and checked them and asked for samples. And some found me 🙂

  3. I love to hear someone else talk about perfume this way. When I smell a certain scent, esp. a certain perfume, it’s like fireworks in my brain, I remember anything intimately connected with it. That being said, I actually have a few summer and winter perfumes, as well as a handful for other occasions (like a nice dinner, or some hubba hubba ; ) ).

  4. I love the idea of identity being a scent! I love Marc Jacobs daisy dream and decadence at the moment, depends what mood I’m in for which one I pick! 😊 Loved this post 💗

  5. my signature scent is Cinnabar by Estee Lauder. it was discontinued for a few years so I had to experiment with some others. I do like Modern Muse, which I’ll wear in the summertime, but my heart belongs to Cinnabar…

  6. I LOVE Chanel No 5 and get a thrill when friends recognise it and compliment me. I guess it is ‘my signature scent!’ It is the only perfume designed by a lady (perfume creation, oddly enough, appear to be a male-dominated field), Coco Chanel herself and has stood the test of time. It’s also the only perfume that will never be discounted. You can get them through Duty Free so that helps with the expense.
It is a light, non-overpowering scent and although I do dabble with other scents, I remain a Chanel No 5 fan. 😊
